Rab Archaeological (T)races
The project Rab Archaeological (T)races was developed on the idea of an open-air museum, presenting about 30 archaeological sites in the area of the island of Rab.
They are connected by three educational trails spreading on the area of Kampor (Trail Capo Fronte), Lopar (Trails Epario & Frux) and Supetarska Draga (Trail Frux). Follow the traces hidden in the wonderful landscapes with the help of informational and educational panels and the interactive mobile application to learn about the cultural treasures of the island.
Rab Archaeological (T)races application guides you through pristine island landscapes showcasing valuable archaeological, sacral, and ethnographic heritage dating from the prehistoric era to the beginning of the 20th century. Archaeological sites have been presented along 33 info – points connected by 40 km of educational trails spanning across Kampor, Lopar, and Supetarska Draga, some of which along protected landscape areas. Certain sites lie hidden layers beneath your feet, whereas others stand tall in structures that have sturdily been defying the tooth of time for centuries. Besides navigating you through the trails and providing information on the sites, the application reveals numerous interesting facts and legends surrounding the island and its life through time.
