Nudist Beaches
Sahara is the most famous nudist beach in Lopar and one of its most stunning natural gems. While nudism is permitted, it is not exclusive — everyone is welcome to enjoy the beach in their own way.
Tucked away in a secluded bay, Sahara is about a 45-minute walk from the center of Lopar. Well-marked trails lead you through fragrant pine forests and Mediterranean shrubs, offering breathtaking views along the way. Sahara Beach is also accessible by boat, with numerous taxi boats from San Marino Harbour running daily to the beach and back.
The beach is sandy with patches of low vegetation and a touch of natural shade — perfect for those seeking a peaceful escape. As there are no facilities on the beach, we recommend bringing everything you need for a full day of relaxation, including refreshments — the only cold beer here is the one you carry with you!
Please note that dogs are not allowed to swim at the beach.
Ciganka (The Gipsy Beach) is one of three nudist beaches of Lopar, facing North, i.e. looking out toward islands of Krk and Grgur. You can reach it on foot or by car, which can be parked in shadows of pine trees. You need to walk down to the beach just for the last 100m. There you will find interesting and unusual sand dunes shaped in pyramids and you can choose whether you prefer lying on the rocks or in the sand.
For its exposure to bura, local NE wind, Ciganka is also very popular for windsurfing.
Ciganka is FKK allowed beach, so nudism is not mandatory, clothing is optional. You can enjoy your stay on the beach in your swimsuit if you have to. But you don’t have to. What is highly recommended is to wear sunscreen and if you have to wear something else, you can leave your hat on!
Dogs are not allowed to swim on Ciganka Beach, but you can take it for a swim to the nearby Zad Vele Stene beach.
Sand beach Stolac is a true naturistic paradise, as it is the only FKK exclusive beach. It is just 10’ walk away from the San Marino Resort. The intact nature paired with naturism allows the visitors to experience a unique immersion into the wild nature, to merge with the sand or with the stone, whatever you chose. The peculiarity of this beach is the nearby islet which can be reached swimming or walking through the shallow water – do not resist the temptation and walk those few hundred feet through the warm sea, become a Robinson and enjoy the desert island experience at least once.
Dogs are not allowed to swim at Stolac beach.
There is no bar or other infrastructure, so we highly recommend you bring plenty of water, food, beach umbrellas and other equipment for a long stay on the beach.
